Video: Everest View Hotel: First View Up The Valley
After 13 treks to Everest Base Camp, one might suspect it has lost some appeal. Not so. The swathe of snow-capped mountains rearing up and surrounding us over the course of days retains its allure, and each journey I am smitten anew.
On Day 3, we hike up above Namche Bazaar to the famous Everest View Hotel for our first views of the major mountains. We’ll follow this valley up, up, up to Base Camp.
